The five judges (bottom photo-Rob Hudson, Emily Harrington, Judy Hoy, Al Canaris, and Jeff Fuller) had some tough choices today; there were many excellent art entries from our talented Montana students. Principal's Message

Welcome to Whitefish High School, home of the Bulldogs! Year after year we are proud to serve the Whitefish High School Community. We have a strong, vibrant tradition of providing a solid education based on Academics, Arts and Athletics. This tradition of excellence has fostered tens of thousands of our graduates as they successfully live out their dreams throughout the United States and the world.

We begin the year with high expectations and great hopes for our students. With academics and extracurricular activities we offer numerous opportunities for students to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically. I encourage your students to take advantage of the many programs and organizations we provide. With a teacher student ratio of 18/1, we support a safe, forward thinking, student centered and creative learning environment.

If you are open enrolling your son or daughter you have chosen an excellent learning community. Forty three percent of our seniors enroll in Advanced Placement classes and we have a graduation rate of 97%. Our composite ACT score of college bound seniors is 24.4 compared with the state average of 22.0 and nationally 21.1. Eight of our graduates currently attend Military Academies, four of these from the class of 2009. Last spring, our seniors were awarded $ 3.1 million in student scholarships, this averages out to $51,666 per senior applying for scholarships. Bulldog graduates are spread throughout the state and country pursuing post high school education opportunities. The list of schools, universities and colleges our students attend is impressive.

The Bulldog community includes parents, teachers, staff and community members. Together, we take our student's growth and education seriously. We are a dedicated community that supports our schools and students. I encourage all parents to get involved in our school; you are welcome anytime and please know that my office is always open to you. Beginning in September and on the last Thursday of every month at 7:00 pm, I encourage you to attend the Parent Advisory Group. (PAG) My goal is to support parents by providing school updates, topics and issues related to their students.

We are a school with High Expectations and High Achievement for All!
